Results from the statistical analysis reveal that both PSM and deep acting have a positive significant influence on perceived job performance. In addition, deep acting has a positive significant moderating effect on the relationship between PSM and perceived job performance. Furthermore, the results of the structural equation model show that deep acting significantly mediates the relationship between PSM and perceived job performance, whereas surface acting has no mediating effect on the relationship between PSM and perceived job performance. These findings reaffirm the significance of individual dispositional motives and emotive __EXPRESSION__s in public service delivery and public organizations, and shows that educational institutions need to foster the training of public employees on emotional labor management. Furthermore, public sector managers need to ensure the person-organization fit of employees, create a supportive work environment to their subordinates, and screen job applicants for PSM and affective motives. This paper attempts to investigate how gender diversity is managed in the Ethiopian government. The study reveals that women’s representation in decision-making positions, such as those held by political appointees and senior officials, is poor, with women primarily being concentrated in low-level clerical jobs in the Ethiopian government. Further, there is a considerable disparity in the representation of women government employees among regional states. Moreover, approximately one-third of the nearly 80 ethnic groups in Ethiopia were not represented at all. Therefore, as a multiethnic and federal nation, Ethiopia needs to reconsider its personnel policies designed to promote gender diversity and ethnic representation in its public sector. South Korea’s blended response of quick action and technological innovations has proven effective in containing the COVID-19 outbreak and can offer lessons for other countries. This paper presents a review of the administrative and legal measures taken by the Korean government, a discussion on the lessons learned from previous epidemics and disasters, and an overview of the government’s agile testing and containment strategies. The paper ends with a discussion on the implications of Korea’s responses to public policy and public management theory. It has been a topic of debate and empirical research in organizational theory and management literature ever since. This article does not seek to prove or disprove the Peter Principle. Rather, it provides an alternative explanation of promotion within an organization based on employee experience. The research presented here demonstrates that the role inhabited by an employee greatly influences their perspective, which may change based on their location within an organizational hierarchy. This research concentrated on finding out the determinants that influence youth clubs’ sustainability. Data from 387 youth clubs in rural areas from the Central Division of MYS were screened and tested by various statistical analyses including a logistic regression model that membership, leadership and socio-economic factors including adoption of entrepreneurship influenced the youth club sustainability. From various determinants, assistance is an important factor to the clubs of Community Based Organizations. Government support could increase sustainability nearly 2.2 years longer than self-help club average. The leadership factors including reporting system and strategic plans have significant relations to the sustainability of the youth club. Those system and plan are to be instigated by the youth club leaders in collaboration and agreement with its members. Among the determinant factors, adoption of entrepreneurship to youth club comes out very significant determinant that youth clubs need to strongly consider to be sustainable. According to this logistic regression, adoption of enterprising showed almost 6 times more active compare than without entrepreneurship. There is paramount need for youth clubs in Fiji to balance their obligation and to concurrently carry out their strong desire to serve the community in their social capacity and at the same time generate income to help sustain the organization. There are also profound policy recommendations which can influence the strategic direction of the youth clubs, MYS and its key stakeholders especially in the areas of collaboration and training. This study examined the effect of gender diversity on satisfaction by examining survey data derived from Korean public employees. The survey results reveal that compared to their male counterparts, female employees experience increased satisfaction, and managerial factors, such as leadership, participation, recognition, and pay satisfaction, are positively associated with job satisfaction. To examine the effect of gender diversity, this study constructed a gender diversity index as a proxy for gender-neutral and female- or male-dominated workplaces. The findings suggest that although gender diversity is negatively associated with job satisfaction, high organizational commitment moderates the negative effect of gender diversity on job satisfaction. Moreover, the results show that the negative association between gender diversity and job performance is not significant. The volume of empirical research, however, has been modest given the absence of valid measures. This article develops a reliable and valid five-dimension scale to measure public employee accountability. The measure is distinguished from prior scales in that it fully captures the five distinct dimensions along which employee accountability varies. To test a higher-order factor model of the multidimensional scale, data representing the population of U.S. public sector (government and nonprofit) employees was utilized. A series of scale construction tests, including convergent and discriminant validity tests and multi-group analysis, confirmed that a best-fit model was a five-dimensional, reflective scale with 15 indicators. The article concludes by discussing theoretical and practical implications and future research.

Our objectives were to investigate disparities in mobile phone ownership and to examine the associations between exposure to family planning messages through mHealth (stand-alone or combined with other channels such as public forums, informational materials, health workers, social media and political/religious/community leaders' advocacy) and contraceptive knowledge and use. Logistic and Poisson regression models were used to analyze the 2014 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey. Among 31 059 women, 86.7% had mobile phones and were more likely to have received higher education, have children ≤5 y of age and tended to be wealthier or married. Among 7397 women who were sexually active, owned a mobile phone and received family planning messages through at least one channel, 89.8% had no exposure to mHealth. mHealth alone was limited in improving contraceptive knowledge and use but led to intended outcomes when used together with four other channels compared with other channels only (knowledge: incidence rate ratio 1.084 [95% confidence interval {CI} 1.063-1.106]; use: odds ratio 1.429 [95% CI 1.026-1.989]). Socio-economic disparities existed in mobile phone ownership, and mHealth alone did not improve contraceptive knowledge and use among Kenyan women.
