국민건강보험은 외국인등록시 자동으로 가입됩니다.
외국인등록 시 기재한 주소로 매달 보험료 고지서가 우편 발송되므로, 보험료를 기한 내에 반드시 납부하시기 바랍니다.
보험료를 납부하지 않을 경우 건강보험 혜택을 받을 수 없으며, 장기 체납 시 은행 계좌가 동결될 수 있습니다.
고지서를 받지 못한 경우에는 국민건강보험공단 콜센터(대표전화 1577-1000)로 문의하시기 바랍니다.
또한, 매달 납부를 놓치지 않도록 자동이체 신청을 권장합니다.

개인 보험 가입 전에는 국민건강보험의 보장 범위를 먼저 확인하시기 바랍니다.
입국 후 외국인등록 전까지 발생할 수 있는 긴급 상황에 대비하여 본국에서 필요한 보험에 가입하는 것을 권장합니다.
추가적인 보장이 필요하다고 판단되는 경우에는 본국 또는 한국에서 개인 보험을 별도로 가입하실 수 있습니다.
개인 보험 가입과 관련된 사항은 개별적으로 확인하시기 바랍니다.
아울러, 대학원 행정팀에서는 보험 가입 업무를 별도로 진행하지 않는 점 양해 부탁드립니다.
National Health Insurance (NHIS) Information for International Students
International students are automatically enrolled in the National Health Insurance (NHIS) program after completing Alien Registration.
A monthly insurance bill will be mailed to the address registered during your alien registration process. Please make sure to pay the insurance fee by the due date every month.
If you fail to pay the insurance premium:
You may not be able to receive health insurance benefits.
Long-term nonpayment may result in restrictions such as the freezing of your bank account.
If you do not receive your insurance bill, please contact the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) Customer Center:

To avoid missing monthly payments, we strongly recommend registering for automatic bank payment.

Multilingual Support Service
The National Health Insurance Service operates a Foreign Residents Support Center where counseling services are available in multiple languages.
Before purchasing private insurance, please first check the coverage provided by the National Health Insurance program.
Private Insurance
It is recommended that students obtain appropriate insurance coverage in their home country to prepare for possible emergencies before completing Alien Registration after arrival in Korea.
If you believe additional coverage is necessary, you may separately purchase private insurance either in your home country or in Korea.
Please note that matters related to private insurance enrollment should be checked individually.
In addition, please understand that the Graduate School Administrative Office does not separately process insurance enrollment services.
