Exchange Student Program and Visiting Student Program are STUDY abroad programs. While interaction with your Korean peers is important, class attendance is of equal importance. We have instituted the following policy for Korean as well as International students:

If a student accumulates a total of 10 absences in all of his/her classes combined without official permission from the instructor, he or she will be assigned to 10 hours of community service. If a student continues to be absent and accumulates a total of 20 absences in all of his/her classes combined, he or she will be assigned to 20 hours of community service AND we will notify your parents and/or school. If a student CONTINUES to be absent and accumulates a total of 30 absences in all of his/her classes combined, he or she will be assigned to 30 hours of community service and your parents and/or school will be called again.

ISs should conduct themselves in a responsible manner at all times. What you do in your free time is your choice. But remember that you are representing your country.

Also, respect dormitory rules. Anyone caught violating the rules will be given demerit points, which may result in expelling from dormitory halls. Other cases of misconduct will be reviewed in office with the dean of international education office. If the occasion arises, we will report your misconduct to your school.
